Plaster Casts and Mod Poge

Paper Mache Nests

-The "nests" you create will be sculpted using balloons, plaster or newspaper and paper mod poge.
-You will be painting/drawing on the nests when they are dry


For plaster
-Dip the plaster in the water
-Squeeze the plaster between your two fingers and squeegee it into the water.
-Apply to balloon
-Overlap each strip
-Create at least two layers to be sure you have a sturdy base
-TRY TO STAY AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE
-DO NOT put plaster on your body, on your neighbors body tables or classroom supplies


For Mod Poge
-use a paint brush and paint the glue onto the balloon
-Paint the mod Poge on top of the balloon to seal it
-Layer at least three coats of newspaper to make sure you have a sturdy figure
